Mouthguard with brackets

• Has a maxillary and mandibular recess for the vestibular brackets.
• Encourages intermaxillary traction to work by placing the dental arches end to end (possibility of adapting the appliance by cutting it with scissors).
• Prevents bruxism and temporo-mandibular joint problems by eliminating lateral occlusal forces.
• Encourages breathing through the nose.
• Protects the soft tissues (lips, cheeks) during the multi-bracket adaptation period.

Special features

• Mouthguard with brackets and bilateral blocks: the presence of bilateral blocks helps to continue reeducation combining swallowing, tongue posture and breathing during the multi-bracket treatment phase.
• Uni-maxillary mouthguard with brackets and bilateral blocks: aid to tongue reeducation when only the maxillary arch has brackets.

FROM 10 YEARS

• Wearing the mouthguard during the day: Essential to do this at 2 h per day, split into ¼ h or ½ h sessions. Clench the teeth without chewing, count to 10 and release, in sets of 10 to 15.
• Wearing the mouthguard at night: the mouthguard with brackets must be worn every night. It's normal for the appliance to fall out frequently in the first instance. YOU MUST PERSEVERE.
• The mouthguard with brackets should be cleaned in cold water with a toothbrush and toothpaste, before and after use. Keep it in its box when not in use The recommendation is to place it for 1 hour a week in mouthwash.
• Never boil the mouthguard with brackets.
• The mouthguard with brackets must be replaced if there are any signs of wear.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
• Class III occlusion.
• Exclusive mouth respirators.
